“Today, we have a world where we can say: “I’m proud to be a woman” and “I’m proud to be gay.” But we can’t say: “I’m a drug-user.” Or, “I love someone who uses drugs, and think they deserve to have a better life.”
How should we be teaching students about drugs?
“I take the perspective that drug use really helps us understand what we’re missing or needing in life. And, that it’s not always necessary to eliminate the drugs, but to have a greater awareness of what you’re looking for in this experience.”
